WalnutsWhitworths Halved Walnuts are selected from the natural crop of trees in the mountains of China. The nuts are hand shelled and sorted in to the largest pieces, mostly quarters of the whole nut. Chopped almondsWhitworths 'Select' grade Almonds are chosen for their flavour and creamy white colouring when skinned. Dessicated coconutWhitworths Desiccated Coconut comes from coconuts grown in the tropical climates of the Philippines, Sri Lanka and cote D'Ivoire. Hand-harvested, they are 'steamed' before shredding and drying. Widely used to decorate cakes and pastries, Desiccated Coconut is now also a favourite in Oriental and Indian recipes.
