Whitworths Desiccated Coconut comes from coconuts grown in the tropical climates of the Philippines, Sri Lanka and cote D'Ivoire. Hand-harvested, they are 'steamed' before shredding and drying. Widely used to decorate cakes and pastries, Desiccated Coconut is now also a favourite in Oriental and Indian recipes.
