Through wartime, peacetime, rationing and times of prosperity, Whitworths has been a staple, a comfort and even a luxury, in kitchens everywhere.
We are proud to have been pioneers for new products from all over the world, as well as for many preparation and packaging techniques, some principles of which are still applied today. We were the first to introduce a system that removed dust and grit from dried fruit as well as being first to launch 'no need to soak' fruit.
